MADRID -- A Madrid court judge has ordered a man accused of offering pirated material on two web pages to pay a security deposit of €4 million ($5.1 million) until the trial begins and ordered the pages be closed.
The pages allegedly offered pirated codes and cards to access the pay-content of media giant Sogecable's satellite platform Digital Plus.
The stiff sentence, based on an estimate of the benefits obtained by the web administrator and the losses registered by Digital Plus due to the crime, is transferable to the administrator's personal assets.Statistics: Posted by A_Z_A — Fri Sep 10, 2010 3:27 pm
