Starting at approximately 3:30 a.m. MDT, satellite uplink provider, EchoStar, experienced an equipment failure associated with a primary video router located at its uplink facility in Wyoming, which caused a portion of DISH Network’s standard definition channels to default to a variety of international channels.

EchoStar identified the failure and restored service by 7 a.m. MDT. Local TV channels and high definition channels were not affected.

If you are a Dish Network subscriber with a Western Arc setup (Satellites 110, 119 and 129) and are experiencing international programming instead of your regular shows do not be alarmed. There apparently has been some sort of switching issues at Dish Network and international channels are appearing where they should not be. Hopefully this should return to normal soon.
